Remote Database Administrator Summer Intern at U-Haul

Location:

Platform Operations – Database Administrator Intern for Microsoft SQL Server

U-Haul is seeking a Database Administrator Intern to join the Database Platform Operations team. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.

Duties:

· Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity

· Monitoring system alerts

· Assists and supports Microsoft Windows Servers

· Working with Microsoft SQL Server

· Participate in technical reviews throughout the course of development projects

· Define, document and adhere to technical and operational standards

· Maintain detailed technical documentation

Requirements/Education:

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

· Must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program applicable to Information Technology, CIS, or Computer Science

· DBMS related college courses preferred

· Basic understanding of personal computer hardware and software programs

· Candidates must be able to learn new things quickly, need minimal direction, and work in a remote environment

Start date: June 2nd

Duration: 10 weeks (potential for extension but not guaranteed)
