As a Staff Software Engineer, DevOps Platform, you will be part of the Engineering team implementing CI/CD and Developer Experience in Kubernetes and be responsible for tooling, templates and frameworks. You will be working closely with dev teams to establish best practices around their release processes and assist in building their code pipelines from laptop to production.
What you’ll get to do:
Implement cloud-native SDLC, integration and migration, maintain build tooling, K8s frameworks and infrastructure
Development of CI/CD pipeline toolkit for deploying to K8s and best practices that support build and deploy operations and manage services that run our pipelines-as-code
Document and/or templatize steps required for onboarding projects to the CI/CD tooling and continuously improve our SDLC framework to keep up with the industry trends
Manage and continuously enhance backend shared libraries, pipeline templates and process to increase automation and adoption as K8s standards evolve
Have ownership of assigned tasks and projects, proactively tackle problems, and suggest resolutions
You should apply if you have most of this:
Expert knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and best practices, git and dev tools
Expertise with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience with k8s tools like: FluxCD, Istio, LinkerD, Flagger, External Secrets Operator, Helm, Kustomize, Kyverno
8+ years of overall experience
Experience in Linux/Unix administration and configuration (2+ years)
Strong coding background and experience in Java or Python (2+ years)
Experience with build tools from multiple languages (maven, gradle, setuptools, npm, yarn, webpack, SBT)
Experience developing and maintaining Jenkins shared libraries and Jenkinsfiles
Self motivated and able to work independently as part of a remote team
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple software engineering teams
Interest in continuous learning and improvement of your own and the team’s skills
Ability to write clear and concise documentation
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in build, test, and production environments
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
What puts you over the top:
Experience with AWS (EKS, CloudFormation, CDK), cloud-native deployments
Experience with infra-as-code and configuration management (i.e Atlantis, Terraform, Terragrunt)
Experience with Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, MLops tooling
Experience with contributing to open source
