Overview:

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomy to work full time days in the central testing lab!

As a clinical lab assistant-phlebotomy duties are to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels.

Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
• Phlebotomy course (preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)
• BLS required within 60 days of hire

Experience

• 1 year of experience

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.35 - $23.08

We are also home to the region’s only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won’t heal, infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen, airborne chemical exposures, and scuba diving accidents.
