The EMEA Retail & Central Europe Marketing Manager is responsible for conceiving and coordinating 360° marketing activities for the Central Europe (German, BeNeLux and CH) markets. Design, develop, and implement programs to promote the organisation’s products, brands, and services through events, media, and sales and press. The candidate is also responsible for developing EMEA retail marketing strategies that drive foot traffic, sales leads, and enhance the in-store experience for dealers and retailers. This role requires strategic thinking, creative execution, and strong communication skills to promote the organization's offerings and maintain positive media relations.

  • Accountable in building and executing the marketing plan for Central Europe to support the growth objectives for the territory, in alignment with the Country Managers and coordination with the sales force on the field.
  • Manages the marketing budgets for Central Europe. Manages the promo fund budget and follows up on expenses.
  • Responsible for developing cross-EMEA marketing strategies that drive foot traffic, generate sales leads, and enhance the in-store experience for dealers and retailers. This involves creating and directing strategies that are implemented across the entire EMEA region to ensure consistency and effectiveness in marketing efforts.
  • Develops and implements brand-specific strategies and concrete actions to drive lead and sales generation for Central Europe.
  • Accountable for the end-to-end event organisation for Central Europe (boat shows, dealer meetings, end users testing days…), targeted marketing communication, design, use of marketing and boat show material, transport and budget follow-up
  • Partner with the dealer network to enhance their POS, websites and (social) media presence by developing creative, clearly written materials by editorial and style guidelines.
  • The Marketing Manager oversees the brand's social media pages, creating engaging content that attracts attention and encourages followers to interact with the brand. 
  • Develops strategies for social influencers, builds relationships with pro-anglers, and creates engaging social media content while maintaining connections with bloggers and the online community.
  • Identifies target groups and determines the communication strategy.
  • Has content ownership for the b2b and b2c communication through the systems used by the company, using MercuryMarine.com as the company's main website.
  • Accountable for coordinating the translation work for Central Europe and proofreading for marketing media.
  • Coordinates the production/distribution to sales channel of POS material such as multimedia packages, posters, manuals, fliers, catalogues, and banners, in line with the marketing communication plan
  • Actively participates in international projects across EMEA
  • Uses specific marketing strategies and media to support the new product launch in Central Europe in alignment with the EMEA new product introduction plan.
  • They track the latest model offerings of relevant product lines and provide dealers, OEMs, and retail partners with product information and marketing material.
  • As the point of contact for the press in Central Europe, the Marketing Manager is responsible for building strong relationships with press contacts, coordinating translation and communication of press releases, and organizing product tests.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ideally, a marketing and/or commercial degree

Language skills:

  • German, Dutch, and English are a must, written and spoken at an advanced level. French would also be considered an asset.

IT and other skills:

  • Computer literate with advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Objects knowledge.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Marketing in a b2b environment
  • Powerful event organisation & project- management talent,
  • Crafting compelling and persuasive content for digital platforms
  • Experience with Digital Marketing (Knowledge of AdWords & Social media sponsor campaigns)
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with internal and external parties
  • Able to respect & meet deadlines. Good time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.

This exciting position is a Global Grade 12 and offers a salary of between €64,500 and €80,000 (payable in 13.92 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location (country). We also offer the following benefits:
