Hybrid Freelance - Assoc Director, Production - Presentation Design at Vsa partners

VSA’s Design Practice applies design thinking, visualization and experience to solve problems and bring life to our clients’ stories, visions and voices. We bring together multidisciplinary talent to make the most sophisticated ideas tangible and meaningful for the audiences that matter most. The Associate Director, Presentation Design is responsible for the design and execution or the oversight of the design and execution of presentations. They are responsible for defining a design direction on specific assignments and/or working at the direction of a Designer or a Director of Presentation Design. They coordinate Presentation Designers, assigns work and reviews work for quality control to drive a high level of Design quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete a provided design or develop the design for presentations.
• Provide expertise in core Adobe CS design software, Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Keynote, iBooks and Adobe Acrobat.
• Assure high quality in personal and team’s work.
• Ensure technically sound file construction.
• Have expert level knowledge of PC and Mac operating systems and software versions and able to ensure smooth function upon delivery.
• Design sophisticated info graphics.
• Use and/or build customized, template masters.
• Propose solutions to keep presentations fresh and engaging.
• Work to raise the design level and creativity in self and the Presentation Design Team.
• Manage to timelines set by Project Management and/or Client Engagement, supervise progress and adjust as necessary to insure timely delivery.
• Manage multiple projects and work with multiple subject areas at one time.
• Keep current on emerging presentation technology and design trends.
• Maintain Creative Services and VSA standards and conventions, including, but not limited to: - Maintain a professional, positive, proactive and solutions oriented mentality; - Strive for excellence in execution of all assignments; - Keep files current on server; - Maintain accurate naming conventions and file standards; - Log on-time and accurate time entry in Open Air.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years working experience in a presentation design role, experience at an agency is a plus.
• Possession of an undergraduate in related field.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and MS Office applications.
• Experience with interactive PDF, DPS, eBooks, and HTML is a plus.
• Excellent design, color, and typographic skills.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.
• Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner maintaining effective communication, both written and spoken.
• Adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions.
• A dedication to high quality work.
• Ability to maintain positive and productive relationships with all - clients, team members, peers, and managers.
• Ability to be versatile and balance multiple projects and prioritize.
• Ability to organize information, prioritize, have attention to detail, and accurately follow procedures.
