The role is responsible for the ongoing management and promotion of a product or family of products at all stages of the product lifecycle - market and requirements analysis, defining product concept, product development, product launch and the ongoing management of the product post launch.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • They work with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to identify, prioritize, and design solutions for business requirements.
  • Primary responsibilities include working with the development team to determine product functionality and with the sales & marketing team to strategize product positioning, product pricing and drive the product launch.
  • The professionals are also required to conduct external and internal trainings on the product and are required to deliver product presentations and webcasts to clients for specialized topics.
  • The professionals need to have in depth knowledge on the domain of the vertical, should be strong on project/program management and also should have excellent communication skills and client management skills.

 Product and Tools based skills: 

  • Knowledge of the GoldenSource product. Hands on experience with respect to creation and maintenance of Goldensource MDX, Workflows, Goldensource Custom Java rules, GSOs, UI and Publishing. 

  • Deep Understanding of the Goldensoruce datamodel. 

  • Experience in implementing and supporting the GoldenSource solution for mastering of Instrument data and Institution data. 

  • Experience of code maintenance via any tools like GIT, BitBucket, SVN. 

  • Hands on experience in onboarding and supporting new vendor data feeds right from data acquisition to distributing it to the downstream systems. 

  • Knowledge on any scheduling tools like JS7, Autosys, Control-M etc. 

Coding Knowledge: 

  • Good relational database skills. POSTGRESQL, ORACLE. 

  • Proficiency in scripting languages. Shell or Python to complement the existing Goldensource implementation. 

  • Experience of working with XML based technologies such as XSLT is an added benefit. 

  • Experience in integrating Goldensource workflows with external APIs is an added benefit. 

Domain Knowledge: 

  • Good understanding of financial instruments like Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives products and market data of these products. 

  • Working knowledge of Instrument, Institution, Ratings level data provided by vendors such and Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Moody’s etc. 

  • Knowledge on financial data standards like ISO, MIC, LEI etc. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Technology  

  • Develop and implement an technology, data strategy and roadmap leveraging new technologies and innovation to deliver services globally 

  • Accountable for strategic leadership of engineering and delivery execution for technology and data solutions 

  • Working with our product teams create and manage a best in class roadmap which drives the leverage of new technologies with data at the core supporting client outcomes – custom built and FinTech/Protech solutions   

  • In partnership with the Technology Product Leads, generate excitement and buy-in for the technology and data outcomes quickly, addressing barriers to success 

  • As part of roadmap inform the build and partner decisions, and ensure these are funded, supported to enhance client deliverables and scale.   

  • Partner with colleagues across the enterprise and with external vendors to delivery best in class solutions - measuring success in terms of adoption, usage, improvements and industry recognition.  

Business 

  • Support the private markets and technology leadership to increase market-share and margin through technology 

  • Implement a process for continuous improvement, lower costs to serve and improving margins 

  • Develop and deliver scalable solutions that can be applied to clients and the business   

People  

  • Lead a world-class team of experienced engineering and delivery experts within technology, data and business intelligence 

  • Drive a passion and core competency across the organization for technology transformation  

  • Coordinate comprehensive changes to update how we work or develop new ways of working 

  • Set the priorities and focus for local and regional teams to support global engineering and delivery of core internal and client products and services 

Goldensource Platform: 

  • Hands on involvement to implement the solutions to meet Nuveen's Reference data management requirements. 

  • Optimization of the solutions implemented on the platform. 

  • Be actively involved for resolution of technical and functional issues with the implementation. 

Solution Design and Maintenance: 

  • Be actively involved in requirement gathering and design discussion for implementing the business requirements. 

  • Maintain proper design and technical implementation documents for the custom solutions. 

  • Ensure that custom implementation follows GoldenSource data modeling standards. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide demos to required teams to ensure the implemented solution is verified 

Data management and validation: 

  • Ensure that for any solution that is implemented on the Goldensoruce platform the data quality is maintained. 

  • In addition to the requested business requirements, this includes ensuring that no unwanted notifications are raised during data ingestion and data duplicity does not happen. 

Release and BAU activities: 

  • Be actively involved in the periodic release activities. 

  • Participate in release planning meeting and actively communicate on deliveries planned for the periodic releases.
