Hybrid Musical Theater Songwriting Class Accompanist/Music Director at Berklee

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

• Federal Work Study student may apply.

• In good disciplinary standing.

• Must be located in the U.S.

Seeking musical theater pianists with strong sight reading skills and experience teaching and accompanying vocalists. Be the first to rehearse, teach and play new material written by students in the Musical Theater Writing minor.  Rehearse outside of class with performers and writers, and present material during the class itself, while getting paid for it!

Ideally, you would be available for all dates and times below.  When applying please specify any conflicts.  See dates and times below.  We are also looking to hire now for Fall semester, so the times will be different then.

Writing the Film Musical—Spring 2025

• Rehearsals Wednesday evenings, 6-11pm or 7-11pm
• Class presentations Thursdays 4-6pm
• Class recital Thursday May 1, 6pm-10pm
