The Opportunity
The Senior Product Solutions Analyst is responsible for supporting and enhancing Fidelity Canada’s retail lineup of mutual funds and solutions. Reporting to the Director, Alternatives, the Senior Analyst provides critical support for Fidelity Canada’s new product development initiatives, delivers strategic, competitor and industry analysis to inform product strategy, and is responsible for championing a segment of Fidelity’s retail products, solutions, and tools to drive the firm’s marketing and sales efforts.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Director, Alternatives, the Senior Product Solutions Analyst will oversee the following:
Product Development
Identify compelling product ideas that meet the standards of Fidelity and meet the needs of our customers
Develop product positioning, competitive benchmarking / analysis and identify key factors that will influence sales success in order to build a successful business case for new products and solutions
Collaborate with external resources and internal partners throughout Fidelity in order to bring new products and solutions to market
Own product development projects from idea to delivery
Product Operations
Work directly with Product Operations, Treasury, and other internal partners to further develop systems and processes which help to support alternative funds
Assist in shared oversight of new initiatives relating to fund structures, operating models, and data flow
Marketing and Sales Support
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and other internal partners in the development of all promotional materials (e.g. marketing collateral, digital, advertising, etc.) for new and existing products and solutions
Ensure that assigned products and solutions are supported with strong baseline collateral that clearly and accurately reflects the investment merits of each offering
Lead Projects and Provide Mentorship
Coordinate/ lead projects on behalf of the Alternative Product Development Team
Organize and run cross-company project meetings in support of initiatives related to alternative funds
Mentor and train new Analysts within the team
What We’re Looking For
University degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of relevant mutual fund/investment industry experience
Prior experience in fund accounting/fund operations/fund treasury - preferably within financial services or asset management
Industry accreditations such as CFA/CPA or CAIA is an asset
What You Will Bring
Strong knowledge of investment products and services
Exceptional analytical ability
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Proven experience performing complex data analysis (i.e. sales, performance analysis, etc.)
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficiency with platforms such as Morningstar Direct/Bloomberg is an asset
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
