About the Team

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is looking for an experienced technical consulting leader in the Financial Crime and Compliance technology space to lead a team of implementation consultants and team managers.

About the Role

The Professional Services Director, is responsible for the oversight and successful on-time delivery of all billable services worldwide in support of LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ Financial Crime and Compliance suite of applications. The role supports the Vice President of International Professional Services and works closely with other members of the Professional Services management team, as well as LexisNexis Risk’s sales leaders, customer engagement managers, the project management office, partner management team, regional pre-sales teams and technical support teams. In addition to ensuring quality and timely services delivery, this role is responsible for the recruitment, supervision and development of a team of consultants and team managers skilled in LexisNexis Risk products, related technologies, industry best practices, consulting, and project management techniques. The Director, Professional Services is responsible for ensuring the Delivery team has well-defined roles, meaningful performance management and feedback, professional development, training, mentorship, and an opportunity to develop professional relationships with their peers and management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regional projects are delivered on time and with high customer satisfaction in order to de-risk software license revenue recognition in support of the regional sales pipeline
  • Achieve agreed billable utilization targets to ensure efficient use of resources, while managing appropriate regional activities, travel, project preparation, vacation, training etc. Provide meaningful and insightful measurement data regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery practice.
  • Oversee LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ regional Professional Services teams, assuming responsibility for all hiring, development, retention, utilization and management of that team.
  • Provide support and guidance to team regarding technical, delivery, and operational issues and help them work through both internal and external escalations.
  • Oversee personal development plans for all consulting and team management resources within the regional professional services organization.
  • Work with the Project Management office to efficiently resource engagements, mitigate risk, and manage delivery timelines
  • Work with the regional client engagement teams in developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior financial crime and compliance operations and IT personnel of key regional customers
  • Align with key sales leaders and regional pre-sales teams to gauge market needs and anticipate demand – volume, technology, geography, and capacity planning
  • Work closely with the Project Management office, pre-sales teams and the sales team to establish a repeatable, scalable pre‐sales to implementation delivery to technical support handover process
  • Participate in the scoping, construction, review and approval of project proposals (scope, level of effort estimates, and schedules) and Statements of Work
  • Participate as a senior member of the Professional Services Management Team. Contribute to the development of strategic goals, enablement programs, and positioning.
  • Maintain and project a solid understanding of all LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ Financial Crime and Compliance product lines
  • Partnering with product engineering and product management on Professional Services involvement in product testing beta programs for select customers

Requirements

  • Experience owning and delivering against commercial objectives such as services bookings, utilization, license revenue in an enterprise software organization.
  • 10+ years in successfully managing and working in highly complex software implementation projects.
  • Leads by example. Strong work ethic, teamwork skills and ability to be self-directed and resourceful.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills along with strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
  • Track record of strong internal and external stakeholder management and negotiation with a keen focus on finding win/win solutions.
  • Customer service focus & commitment to quality, responsibility, & high work standards.
  • Strong self-starter with organizational skills, multi-tasker and ability to prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Analytical and creative problem solving skills, questioning and feedback skills.
  • Enjoys being the “Coach”. Help team members achieve and exceed their goals.
  • You are a fast learner and you enjoy learning new concepts and technology and determining how to best implement.
  • Effectively gives/receives feedback; demonstrated ability to establish/meet deadlines.
  • Technical familiarity with enterprise software technologies such as relational databases and web-application middleware

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years’ software implementation experience preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience with leading a direct team
  • Solid knowledge of the financial crime and compliance industry is preferred
  • Experience working with banks and financial services a plus
  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent
  • Working proficiency in more than one language preferred
