Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

The Boston Conservatory Vocal/Choral Intensive is a two-week summer program for pre-college singers that serves as a recruitment tool for our undergraduate voice programs. Instruction in this program is primarily served by current Conservatory faculty, with support from graduate students for teaching small sections of music theory/sight-singing, individual voice coachings, as well as serving in the choir.Voice Instructors will collaborate with VCI faculty and Program Director to plan curriculum for and teach approximately 16 30-minute voice lessons weekly, for two weeks. Hours will be dependent on student enrollment, and the goal for enrollment is for Voice Instructors to have a studio of 8 students. Instructors will attend two staff meetings and all opening events, as well as both solo recital events and the Grand Final performance and reception. Classes will be held 4 days a week and will not include the July 4th Holiday.

Grand Finale Performance/Reception: 3 Hours
Attend Vocal Recitals: 6 hours

Experience and Qualifications:
All candidates must be current graduate students at Boston Conservatory. Candidates must have experience in either voice teaching, theory teaching, or choral singing. Candidates must be able to establish safe learning environments where students can thrive, and serve as ambassadors for our Conservatory voice programs.
