Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Experience, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to help build the next generation of MANSCAPED® products in a variety of product categories which include devices and lifestyle. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and 3D surfacing that will translate into superior product quality.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers and manufacturers to conceptualize product designs and bring them to life
- Produce 3D concepts for new products that are beyond the industry norm
- Lead the design of plastic and metal components, ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability
- Apply a deep understanding of materials to enhance product quality and durability
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and aesthetic surface build quality in all aspects of product development
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Effectively prioritize tasks and manage deadlines to meet project milestones
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working within a Design Department or with a Design Agency
- Must provide a portfolio showcase experience working with customer goods
- Experience leading the mechanical implementation of industrial design
- Promoting innovation while ensuring all design requirement
- Experience with working and coordinating with manufacturing partners overseas, managing critical projects and relationships
- Ability to identify and fill gaps in detailed surfacing quality
- Demonstrated leadership skills of successfully leading design projects from concept through production
- Experience in designing plastic and metal components, leveraging proven techniques to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
- Demonstrated expertise in materials science, applying knowledge to select and specify materials that enhance product quality, durability, and functionality
- Proven ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the product development process, ensuring high aesthetic surface build quality and alignment with design specifications
- Adept at staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, utilizing insights to drive innovation in product design and development processes
- Proficient in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or equivalent platforms, with a demonstrated ability to create detailed and precise designs for mechanical components and assemblies
- Recent and relevant experience in hard-good design, particularly in plastic and metal design, with a strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and design principles
- Sound knowledge of product production processes with the ability to effectively specify requirements for production, ensuring seamless transition from design to manufacturing
- Exceptional problem-solving skills combined with an innovative mindset
- Highly self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, possessing the drive and initiative to take ownership of projects, and drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Up to 20% travel
