Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Principal Material Requirements Planning Control Analyst to join our growing team of diverse professionals.
Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Providing material management and analysis support of complex programs.
- Coordinating and supporting development of material requirements among multiple Control Account Managers (CAMs) and programs.
- Developing program integrated Bills of Material, support definition and validation of program material requirements, and support material/production planning to enable the efficient approval of purchase requisitions.
- Interacting with Program Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing MRP Analysts, Program Management, and other departments to provide accurate material requirements status.
- Supporting program Earned Value Management processes through development and maintenance of material cost and schedule forecasts from initial planning through execution.
- Supporting integration of material requirements into program Integrated Master Schedules.
- Providing reporting of program material status and analysis of material variances to plan and other applicable metrics.
- Implementing internal and customer directed budget and contract changes for all material requirements.
- Use MRP analysis tools to perform material resource planning based on demand generated resource requirements current stock, production need dates, vendor lead and material processing time to ensure timely material or service availability to support production operations.
- Must have ability to plan, monitor, and coordinate all activity related to establishing appropriate schedules for materials which include both procured items as well as manufactured items necessary to fulfill contractual obligations.
- Requires strong understanding of Bills of Materials, structures, and dependencies within a manufacturing environment.
- Requires skills and ability to prepare and present data, charts, and status necessary to highlight potential constraints to meeting schedule including material, supplier, or work center concerns.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in material planning, logistics, supply chain, or procurement – OR – a Master’s degree with 6+ years of related professional experience. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, slicer tools, chart generation or VBA macros.)
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
- Proven experience using MS Office Suite and various MRP/ERP systems (SAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and active Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, material planning, or material management and control.
