Built Technologies is looking for Software Engineers to join our team in Argentina.
This team works on the lending side of Built as we partner with financial institutions to streamline the construction lending industry! Built’s platform is responsible for processing 10% of all U.S construction spend and serving as the critical link between lenders and borrowers. We're looking for a candidate that can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact on our team and organization. With a lot of exciting work coming down our pipeline, we're in search of a proactive self-starter that can serve as a point of technical expertise on the team as well as a mentor to more junior team members.
Engineers at Built are Technical Leaders who:
- Deliver complex end-to-end solutions involving multiple components and teams, addressing ambiguity and driving initiatives aligned with team OKRs.
- Assess technical solutions to ensure they align with product strategy, providing insightful recommendations on priorities and trade-offs.
- Lead large-scale refactors and system upgrades, estimating scope and proactively managing risks in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Expand into architectural and systems thinking, documenting system structures and processes clearly for cross-team understanding.
- Serve as technical leaders and mentors, enabling team growth by delegating responsibilities and fostering collaboration.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience in core backend engineering, including scalable APIs, service design, and database modeling.
- Expertise in database design and performance optimization, with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
- Proven experience designing and deploying systems using AWS services in production environments.
- Track record of success enabling engineering teams and business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with building customer facing React applications, ideally leveraging TypeScript
- Experience building production backend API’s supporting customer facing features
- Full-stack development is strongly preferred, but mastery of front-end with the desire to achieve full-stack competency is possible.
- A passion for building quality, testable code leveraging automation and a habit for actively improving the quality of a codebase “in passing."
- A “player-coach” mentality, capable of simultaneously making strong technical contributions while mentoring others within the context of small cross-functional teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially within website, application servers,
network, and databases - A strong focus on our customers, both internal and external.
- High ownership and accountability of delivery and your work product.
- Optionally, experience with a refactoring initiative or contributing to a legacy codebase.
- Experience working in a growing company, Start-Up or Growth Stage
Tech Stack:
- Microservices Development: Node, GraphQL, schema-driven design, and API best practices.
- Frontend Frameworks: React, Redux, single-spa, or similar front-end technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code: Tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK for scalable and reliable infrastructure.
- Service-Oriented Architecture: Building platform teams, shared services, and modular architectures.
- Backend Frameworks: Nest.JS with TypeScript or Python Frameworks (Django, Fast API or Flask API)
- DynamoDB and MySQL for our database
- AWS for infrastructure and hosting
- Docker & Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- GitHub for source code management and continuous integration
