POSITION TITLE: Teacher’s Associate, Driver       

           

REPORTS TO: Building Principal     

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

  1. Two-year college degree or higher, 48 College hours, Para educator certification, OR acquire passing score on Accuplacer test.
  2. Must complete and pass a motor vehicle record check, in addition to all required background screenings.
  3. Computer and office equipment skills preferred; may be required for some positions.
  4. Knowledge of child development, language development, behavioral, and crisis management preferred. 
  5. Lifting of students and the ability to handle toileting needs of students preferred; may be required for some positions. 
  6. Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

 

  1. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company issued vehicle.
  2. Pick students up from a predetermined location and transport them to school.
  3. Return students to a predetermined location after school.

4  May work with students with the following responsibilities:

  1. Assist students with getting in and out of the vehicle 
  2. Assist students with buckling/unbuckling their seat belts 
  3. Supervise students while in the vehicle. 
  4. All other duties as may be assigned to assist with effective and efficient daily operations.
