Position Title: Paraprofessional – Bus Ride Support (Part-Time)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. (approx.)

Summary:
Provide safe, caring supervision of students during the morning bus ride to school, assisting with boarding, seating, and exiting, and supporting a positive and respectful environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ride the bus each morning to supervise and assist students.

• Help students board, seat, and exit safely.

• Maintain a respectful, orderly atmosphere during transport.

• Assist the driver with student needs or concerns.

• Support guidance, pupil services staff, or administration as needed.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience working with children preferred.

• IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card and valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain composure.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.

• Basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel).

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Other Requirements:

• May travel between school sites or district offices as needed.

• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.

• Able to establish compassionate, supportive relationships with students, including those with special needs.
