NOTICE OF VACANCY
GRANT-FUNDED POSITION
POSITION: Healthy Families Supervisor
LOCATION: Plum Point Elementary School
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide ongoing, intensive professional supervision to the direct service staff. This may include either or both of the components of service, family support or family assessment to assure quality of service provision and protect the integrity and respect of the families served. Allot at least two hours weekly supervision time for each staff member to assist staff as they help families develop realistic and effective support plans. Evaluate why a family may not be making the expected progress and determine effective methods of intervention. Assist in selection of staff, participate in orientation and in-service training, conduct record reviews, take part in the data collection process, implement a quality assurance plan, direct and provide case management and monitor the performance of the Family Support Workers and Parent Educators.
Act as a liaison with other agencies when needed. Monitor contracts and ongoing program development. Function as the team leader, conducting team meetings and planning groups. Provide daily support and crisis management. Allow the staff to express their concerns/frustrations in working with overburdened communities and families to avoid burnout.
REPORTS TO: Calvert County Public Schools - Program Coordinator; Healthy Families America and Parents as Teachers (PAT) National Center.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires significant periods of standing and walking and is performed in a typical school environment.
UNUSUAL DEMANDS: May be subject to a flexible work schedule, including working with families on an emergency basis.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) month position; Five (5) hours per day (25 hours a week); $30.00 per hour; employment is contingent upon continued grant funding and need; grant employees are At-Will employed. Site location is flexible and will be based on the needs of the program. All employees are encouraged to enroll in direct deposit.

Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a drug screen. Current employees of the Calvert County Public Schools are exempt from these requirements.
