Teacher's Aide bei Barona Resort & Casino

OBJECTIVE:                                       

To ensure the health and safety of the children who are in attendance at the Barona Resort & Casino

Childcare Center.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Will spend some time outside supervising the children in all types of weather

Will need to change diapers and assist in toilet training

Assist with lunches and snack time. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Always be Barona NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave, and greeting.

2.     Assist Teacher with monthly reports and developmental observations

3.     Ensure a sanitary environment for the children

4.     Assist the Teacher in providing a healthy, positive, and stimulating environment for the children

5.     Perform other duties as assigned          

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have six Early Childhood Education units or be enrolled or enrolled by the first academic semester after beginning work. 

2. Must be able to work with people of all backgrounds, solve problems and do written reports.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma     

Staff members hired into the following positions are considered Mandatory Reporters for purposes of reporting known or suspected child abuse reporting.

As a Mandatory Reporter, staff members must complete an on-line training class, and submit a Certificate of Completion before being hired by the Barona Resort & Casino.  The course is located at:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:      

 At least six months working in a childcare setting preferred.
