Job Description:

At Epworth, our General Surgical teams play a vital role in the well-being of thousands of patients who may be suffering from debilitating or distressing conditions. A wide range of acute and chronic medical problems are treated with advanced care, technology and services by multidisciplinary teams. You will be supported by great teams with excellent leaders and provided with the opportunity to increase your knowledge through extensive educational programs and opportunities.

We are seeking a passionate, flexible and dynamic Registered or Enrolled Nurse with strong acute experience to join our team at Epworth Freemasons! This is a fantastic opportunity is to work within our 1 East surgical ward which specialises in the care of pre & post-surgical patients, urology, gastroenterology, general surgery and breast surgery. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced Registered or Enrolled Nurse having previously worked in an acute surgical ward. You will be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes.  A strong communicator, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families.  You enjoy collaborating with team members to support the development and growth of the service.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in acute surgical nursing
  • An excellent clinical understanding of surgical nursing care
  • Well-developed proactive time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to your professional development
  • The ability to work within a team focused environment

Qualifications:
  • Relevant Graduate/Post Graduate qualification
  • Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $71,622 - $100,564 + super + entitlements and Enrolled Nurses – AUD $71,224 - $78,401 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
