Cardiology Scribe

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting our cardiology providers while gaining invaluable hands-on clinical experience! We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cardiology Scribe to assist our cardiologists by accurately documenting patient encounters, ensuring efficient clinic flow, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Location: Cardiology office located in Buffalo General Hospital 

Position Type: Full-time, must be available on a permanent basis, Mon-Fri, Day shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Document cardiology patient visits in real-time during exams, including history, physical findings, procedures, test results, and provider assessments.
• Accurately enter information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Retrieve prior medical records, lab results, imaging, and other relevant documentation for review.
• Assist providers in keeping patient encounters on schedule and organized.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service experience (medical office experience preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Previous experience as a medical scribe preferred; cardiology or specialty experience is a plus.
• Excellent typing, spelling, grammar, and listening skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
• EMR experience (Epic or Medent preferred).
• Experience with an EMR(Medent)
