Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Mobile to join the team. This role will be PRN; schedule varies based on events (2-10 hours per week; busiest days are Tuesdays & Thursdays, with some events on the weekends). Travel is required around Loudoun County.

Registered Nurse (RN) Mobile Job Responsibilities:
- Serves Loudoun County school systems, senior centers, and homeless shelters to improve community health.
- Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships
- Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice
- Supports and empowers patients/families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions
- Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective while providing counsel and acting as a resource to resolve issues
- Anticipates patients' ethical, spiritual and cultural needs and intervenes to maximize desired patient outcomes
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and incorporates their expertise to achieve desired patient outcomes
- Coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning
- Documents all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and evaluates the outcomes of documentation and contributes to related performance improvement initiatives
- Evaluates processes to achieve outcomes and anticipates patient variances while making revisions to plans of care when needed
- Assists staff with assessing patients' learning needs and outcomes measurement of patient education
- Serves as a resource, preceptor and mentor and provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice
- Identifies own learning needs and develops professional goals, seeks opportunities to obtain education to enhance practice and collaborates in the development and implementation of an educational plan for identified needs
- Demonstrates evidence of self-development by obtaining a minimum of six formal contact hours and maintains own Team Member Continuing Education Record
- Utilizes standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery, participates in quality improvement initiatives and incorporates research findings into nursing practice
- May perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, within 2 years of date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Certification: BLS & ACLS from American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Location/Commute: due to the nature of this role, and the possibility of events being 2 hours long on occasion, we are looking for someone who is local
