The Role at a Glance
Forklift Operator Responsibilities include operating forklifts primarily a reach truck as well as articulating forklifts, and occasionally cherry pickers. Operators will also have to handle heavy lifting (up to 200 lbs team carry), and ensure accurate documentation.
How You’ll Contribute
You will be responsible for accurately, pulling, picking, locating/re-stocking, staging and verifying inventory. You will become an expert of and utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to locate and pull inventory. Maintaining precise documentation and ensuring accuracy in all warehouse transactions will be essential to your role. You’ll interact regularly with warehouse supervisors, operations staff, customer service teams, vendors, drivers and customers In addition to handling inventory, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe warehouse by keeping inventory organized and clean and keeping aisles and floorspaces well swept. You’ll also be responsible for general upkeep of the facility and surrounding grounds. This role requires the ability to lift and carry between 50–100 lbs, and up to 200 lbs with team support. You must be available to work Saturdays as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Education/Work Experience/Certificates:
- Two Three years of recent reach truck experience required (certification preferred)
- Cherry picker experience (preferred)
- Turret machine experience preferred
- Fluent in the English language (speaking and writing)
- Prior experience with a WMS (warehouse management system) and/or inventory management (at least 1 year)

Essential Job Functions:
- Operate 3 and 4-stage forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers to. Put away, retrieve and move pallets, boxes, crates and any freight/inventory contained in the warehouse.
- Accurately, pick, and update shipments using a warehouse management system.
- Clearly document all pulling activities and maintain accurate, neat paperwork.
- Lift and carry 50–100 lbs individually and up to 200 lbs with a team.
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, customer service staff, operations personnel, drivers, service providers, customers, and vendors.
- Be available to work on Saturdays as needed.
