VMO Demand & Delivery Specialist  

 

Location - We operate a flexible, hybrid working model with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester or London office up to twice a week.

A leader within the Value Management Office (VMO – think Enterprise PMO / Strategic PMO) , rolling out and embedding new demand and delivery governance frameworks, continuous improvement as the organisation evolves, supporting the delivery team with the guardrails driving value. 

 

The role  

Manages governance frameworks to support strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver value to the organisation.   

Owns and maintains governance frameworks Waterfall / Agile / Hybrid to ensure compliance, accountability, and transparency in decision-making processes, supporting the Heads of Delivery and other senior stakeholders to deliver great quality outcomes  

Continuous Improvement of Value Management, never settle for the status quo, you’ll need to bring lived experience of how you’ve transformed previous PMOs, using your skills to identify improvements and deliver incremental benefits  

VMO Team: Have a responsibility for great quality data, keep our content up to date, broadening out our self-service capability for the wider business, enabling VMO to support more teams communicating effectively with the team to ensure transparency? 

Make VMO the Hub of Delivery Insight, Centralise and automate delivery reporting, replacing static reports with real-time dashboards and insights. Improved decision-making through timely, accurate, and consistent delivery data. Reduction in manual reporting effort and increased stakeholder confidence in delivery performance, moving from a reactive reporting team to a proactive outcome based, managing communications methods according to requirements ( inc Exco, Director, Board level reporting)  

Maintain a strategic level “traditional PMO” role, supporting Head of Delivery, Enablement Director with being proactive and transformational in HOW you do this. 

Systems – be a SME in our strategic systems SPM ServiceNow & Jira 

Train and educate, as our roles are transformational you will be expected to train and educate the wider business community as things change, thinking about how you build the content, and deliver the best Organisational Change Management 

 

 

The person  

Extensive experience working within a PMO and / or Technology Transformation environment 

Understanding of governance principles and practices to establish governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance, accountability, and transparency 

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and foster buy-in for process improvement and governance initiatives 

Effective communication and reporting skills to communicate audit findings, insights and recommendations to stakeholders  

Competency in project management principles and practices to plan, execute, and monitor governance initiatives effectively 

Have worked in a high change / transformational environment, able to evidence ability to handle change and deliver quick incremental outcomes  

Strong problem-solving skills to evaluate issues and collaborate with wider quality team to develop solutions 

Familiarity with risk management principles and practices to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with process changes and governance structures 

Excellent analytical skills to analyse relevant data against performance indicators, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve 

P30 or similar qualifications 

ServiceNow / Jira experience
