SCHEDULE:
Part time hours (approximately 10 - 15 per week). Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
SUMMARY:
Family Service League is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide health assessments, health education, diagnostic testing, and medication administration in an outpatient, behavioral health clinic setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and conduct health screenings/assessments.
- Provide health and medical intervention as needed.
- Supervise nursing/health activities as applies to program.
- Provide nursing functions as specified by program (i.e. intramuscular and subcutaneous injections).
- Collaborate with non-medical staff on issues pertaining to clients' health.
- Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with program policies and procedures and in an electronic medical record.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York required.
Three years’ experience providing medical services and at least one year in an outpatient mental health setting required.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required; experience with an electronic health record is preferred.
