Diesel Mechanic - Full Time bei Thomas Sign & Awning

Thomas Sign & Awning, an award-winning sign company in Clearwater, Florida, is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose and repair our fleet.  

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.  The Diesel Mechanic performs scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshoots malfunctions and diagnoses necessary repairs to our fleet of trucks (light and heavy), vans, forklifts and cranes.  

 Job Requirements:

• Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform vehicle and related equipment inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in diesel powered vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle records, including maintenance and repairs performed.
• Ability to maintain drive shaft components.
• Brake replacements.
• Oil change and grease fitting maintenance,
• Troubleshoot for major repairs that may need outsourcing.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, management and other mechanics.

• This person works with a high degree of independence.  
• Position requires a number of physical movements including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating and handling objects.
