Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
- Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is a plus.
Requirements

- Adhere to all building rules and regulations as outlined in the RMCA Employee Handbook.
- Know the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature.
- Submit all data and information as requested.
- Attend meetings as scheduled by the supervisor.
- Follow the grievance policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook in dealing with conflict with students, parents, staff and administration.
Essential Job Functions
- Complete work orders for minor building repairs in a timely and professional manner: To include, but not limited to bathrooms, lighting, classroom furniture, etc. Report major repairs needed to the Facilities Director.
- Use Computer Maintenance Management System to make routine checks on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, security, etc.
- Complete facility set up for event requests; return rooms to school day use set ups. (lifting furniture, boxes, and cafeteria tables-minimum of 55 lbs.).
- Assist with trash removal from lunch; break down boxes for recycle
- Minor landscape duties include weeding, keeping grounds free of rubbish and in winter shovel snow from steps and sidewalks and apply ice melt when appropriate.
- Assist in major clean-up in summer such as washing desks and chairs, washing down walls, cleaning carpets, painting, moving classroom furniture and curriculum, etc.
- Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
- Operate maintenance equipment and keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
