About the Role:
Corus Hospice is seeking an experienced, compassionate Admissions Registered Nurse to join our field-based team in Albuquerque. In this highly autonomous role, you’ll guide patients and families through one of life’s most tender transitions — bringing clarity, comfort, and courage during the admission process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home hospice admissions with empathy and clinical expertise
- Complete thorough assessments to determine eligibility and care needs
- Provide education on the hospice benefit and what to expect during care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, and care teams
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation aligned with regulatory standards
- Support patients and families through early emotional and decision-making stages
- Uphold patient dignity and choice during every interaction
- Represent Corus with professionalism and warmth in the community
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Active RN license in the state of New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience (admissions experience a plus)
- Confidence working independently in a field-based environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Proficiency in electronic documentation systems (myUnity experience helpful)
- Reliable transportation and current driver’s license
- A heart for hospice and a deep respect for patient-centered care
