Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Registered Nurse - Float to join our Urgent Care team!

Position Summary:
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

Looking for a highly motivated RN who likes to work autonomously. Teamwork, flexibility, and critical thinking skills are a must.
We have 7 metro urgent care locations. Float/In basket positions have the ability to work with direct patient care as well as manage care coordination with results management and telephone encounters.
Regions include; central/north(St. Louis Park, Plymouth, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove) and central/south(St. Louis Park, Chanhassen, Burnsville, Lakeville).
Float/In-Basket nurse responsibilities:
Result management, care coordination and follow up after discharge through the urgent care centralized in-basket
Provides direct, hands-on care to all ages
Carry out standing orders for various labs, vaccinations, and imaging
Must maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse license.
BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
Advanced CardiacLife Support (ACLS) preferred or willing to obtain within 2 months of hire.
IV skills, EKG skills, Rhythm Strip Interpretation skills.
Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-5pm, Holiday’s 8am-5pm
This position requires working one weekend a month Sat and Sun 8am-5pm and one holiday per year 8am-5pm
Clinic Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturdays & Sundays 8:00am-5:00pm, Holiday's 8:00am-5:00pm
Work Schedule: Day/Eve, Q4th Weekend, 1 holiday/year
Location: Central/South Region (St. Louis Park, Chanhassen, Burnsville, Lakeville).
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree in nursing. One or more years nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
- Must maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse license.
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- IV skills, EKG skills, Rhythm Strip Interpretation skills.
- Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and Park Nicollet Health Services. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients
