We are seeking a Material Handler for our Garden Grove, CA Plant.

Schedule: 2nd Shift - 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (8) hours per day/ 5 days a week plus shift differential of $1.00.  

Summary: 

Responsible for handling all types of materials coming in and going out, within or near plant, yard, or work site; performs a combination of duties such as, receiving from tracks, manually handling items by operating fork lift, Hi-Lo, cart or hand truck, verifies data, and quantities, weights, secures loads, distributes and assure that material handling is being done accordingly to the necessary documentation or instruction including but not limited to work order, verbal instructions or other form of instruction. The Forklift Order Puller/Picker also ensures that materials are placed in their proper locations and are available for use where they are needed. Enter data in the company ERP system as required.

In the performance of duties, the Forklift Order Puller/Picker must observe all safety and operational procedures, including maintaining all required paperwork, safety logs, preventive maintenance logs and checklist to meet quality and delivery expectations.

The material handler must require help from coworkers when handling heavier items since Load pallets and skids may be up to 35 feet long and weigh up a minimum of 35lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility.
• Records flow information of materials and products.
• Knows the standard practices and procedures within a particular field.
• Stands up, sit-down forklift, pallet jack, and multiple equipment utilized to move material to and from trucks to the storage area. 
• Maintain daily communication with the inventory department. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS       

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Hi-Lo Certification preferred - will be trained and certified.
• Current certification in forklift operation is a must. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
