The Terrain Park Manager position is a full-time leadership role located at The Highlands Resort. The Terrain Park Manager is directly responsible for developing, building and maintaining the resort’s terrain parks. The ideal candidate will be a strong motivator, have great attention to detail, and be able to work well as part of a team. This leadership role will be best suited for a candidate with strong time management skills to best balance the administrative duties along with park builds/maintenance. This role is currently a full-time, seasonal position but could be full-time year-round, for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
· Plan, build and maintain the resorts terrain parks
· Hire, train and manage the performance of a team of park attendants and groomers
· Work closely with outside departments including snowmaking and grooming
· Manage online park records using risk management software
· Assist in the development of events and promotions
· Work with Snow Surfaces manager to develop and adhere to seasonal budgets
· Maintain a culture of safety throughout the department
· Organize consistent park rebuilds
· Perform and record incident investigations within risk management software
Qualifications:Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education etc):
· Should have minimum 3 years of terrain park operations experience
· Should have management experience
· Must be able to work nights, evenings, weekends and Holidays
· Must be able to work outside for extended periods of times
· Must support and abide by all department and company policies and procedures
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
· Must be comfortable working in changing weather conditions including ice, snow, rain and cold temperatures
· Must be a strong skier or snowboarder
· This position requires: bending, lifting, shoveling, and moving tools and supplies over snow surfaces daily
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Terrain Park Manager’s responsibilities are listed but not limited to:
· Hire, train and manage a cohesive team
· Host a seasonal orientation for new and returning team members
· Build schedules for terrain park team members and park rebuilds
· Maintain constant communication with outside departments
