Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4:30pm

Job Summary & Deliverables

This title is used for Autism Aides who are working toward RBT certification

The Registered Behavior Technician-Interim provides educational and developmental support to adolescents and children with behavioral health challenges or autism in a classroom or clinical setting. The RBT-Interim assists the treatment team by helping clients learn skills and behaviors to be successful in their home and community environments.

• Assists clients with participation in classroom, skills groups, and educational outings according to their abilities and needs
• Assists the treatment team in providing academic and therapeutic structure through the application of behavioral techniques and procedures
• Implements therapeutic interventions to encourage and support self-management, communication, and social skills
• Charts the progress of assigned clients through progress notes to ensure the ongoing evaluation of client strengths and opportunities
• Provides input and recommendations to the treatment team for the development and implementation of the Treatment Plan and the Behavioral Intervention/Management Plan
• Assists in de-escalating clients when necessary or intervening when the behavior of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves and/or others
• Supports client health by assisting with hygiene responsibilities as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year working with children preferred
• Must obtain RBT certification within 90 days
• CPR certification
• Safety Care certification
• Driving positions require a minimum age of 21 and a current driver's license
• Previous direct care behavioral health or autism experience preferred
