About the Department
The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has a unique opportunity to improve the quality of life for Loudoun County residents. Come be a part of our work to meet the unmet housing needs of our neighbors. This position is office-centered--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibility may be authorized.
Position Duties
Additional job activities include, but are not limited to, conducting family meetings, preparing letters and reports, data collection, and attending in-person, telephone, and virtual meetings. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with diverse populations; effectively use housing program software; interpret and apply state and local regulations; maintain confidentiality; and use excellent written and oral communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Housing, Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; two (2) years of related work experience in a housing or public assistance area, including clients with mental health and/or substance abuse issues; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the implementation of Federal or State Housing programs is a plus.
