Who We Are: Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools, and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th-grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park, and Park City.

What We Need: The purpose of the Waukegan Innovation Network (WIN) is to promote the integration of classroom technology across the district. The WIN Trainers will offer professional development in technology integration to all WPS60 teachers. The professional development will support the Illinois Learning Standards and district curriculum inclusive of the ISTE technology standards. WIN Trainers will report to the Professional Development Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver professional development, including district technology initiatives and custom sessions based on the needs of the school staff.
- Assist teachers and building principals with instructional technology integration and the implementation of district-approved software and platforms.
- Collaboratively plan and participate in EdCamps hosted by WPS60.
- Assist in the development of ISTE standards-based curriculum writing and assessment design.
- Continue professional growth through the development of a personal learning network (PLN), by attending outside conferences, and exchanging ideas with other WIN trainers and teachers.
- Act as a liaison between the district Instructional Technology Department and building staff to promote the sustainability of the district’s infrastructure.
- Maintain and keep a detailed log of duties and tasks completed as a WIN Trainer.
- Attend all WIN Trainer meetings and other WIN events.

- Must have a valid Illinois Professional Educators License.
- Level 1 Google Certification (Preferred)
- Must demonstrate a strong command of technology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various instructional technology tools.
- General knowledge of ISTE standards (Preferred)
Compensation:Salary Structure Stipend position

Additional Information: There may be additional opportunities during the summer pending funding availability. Federal and state withholdings apply. There will be 1 position per building for grades PreK - 8 at various locations and 2 positions at the high schools.
