TEST 1 We are seeking an ISS Widget Specialist to serve as a team member on our Boeing Engineering and Technical Services (BETS-SWS) contract located in Houston, Texas. As the ISS Widget Specialist, you will work on the exciting Orion spacecraft program, leading the design and development of Widgets, which will be used to advance the future of human spaceflight. You will define requirements, design hardware, facilitate design and test readiness reviews, and oversee production of the ISS Widget.

The ISS Widget Specialist will:

• Support to the International Space Station (ISS), Gateway, Orion, or CLDP boards and panels, ISS Increment systems and payload planning and execution, cargo manifesting, resource and requirement management, and strategic through execute level research planning.
  
• Create Data Analytic solutions supporting cross program integration.
  
• Support IT teams for application development projects.
  
• Support to Commercial Spaceflight projects in the Barrios corporate office.
  
• Support data analysis, integration and presentation, problem resolution, strategic and programmatic assessments, process improvements and continued innovation, tool development, project management, and systems and project engineering.
  
• Support requirements collection and management.
  
• Support integrated modeling projects.
  
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering) from an accredited engineering school, college of university.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and independently.

Preferences:

• Computer programming (Visual Basic, C#, Python, Java) is a plus.
• Experience with SharePoint, Windchill, CAD modeling, or requirements management (e.g. DOORS).
• Project or other leadership experience (in school, extracurricular, or internship), innovation or process improvement skills, ability to demonstrate technical understanding of complex situations and communicate to appropriate audience.

Essential Requirements: 

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

• Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
• This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
