Job Summary

The Audit and Product Administrator will report to the SVP Compliance, with a dotted line relationship to the Director Credit Policy. The role will primarily be responsible for administering internal and external audits (including state audits, internal audits, agency audits, etc.) and monitoring changes to credit guidelines and investor overlays. In the audit capacity, the administrator will insure all audit requests are collected from the responsible individuals and submitted to the requesting party in a timely manner, meeting any and all stated deadlines. Additionally, the administrator will be responsible for tracking and monitoring completion of remediation related to any noted audit findings or observations and that management has provided an appropriate response by the specified due date. As it relates to products, the administrator will be responsible for tracking and monitoring all changes to credit policy and investor overlays, whether agency guideline changes, or investor guidelines. All such changes must be communicated to the Director of Credit Policy to determine if the changes apply to LoanPeople. The administrator will ensure that all applicable changes are implemented and internal resource guides, matrices, spreadsheets, etc. are updated with the applicable changes. The administrator may also participate in assisting the SVP Compliance or the Director of Credit Policy with collecting information for new state roll outs or new product rollouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and management responses are delivered timely
  • Track and monitor all credit policy and investor overlays, ensuring all applicable changes are implemented and communicated
  • Assist the SVP Compliance with new state roll outs
  • Assist the Director Credit Policy with new product roll outs
  • Assist the SVP Compliance with HMDA data accuracy and reporting
  • Serve as the compliance training administrator, ensuring that all employees complete their mandatory compliance training and/or NMLS continuing education by the specified deadline
  • Serve as a backup auditor for the Quality Control Department
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience in mortgage lendingA minimum of 5+ years of compliance and credit guidelines experience (such as a prior Quality Control Auditor, Compliance Specialist, Compliance Analyst, Processor, or Underwriter)
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple roles and positions
  • Ability to organize information and manage deadlines
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and utilize web-based document repositories (such as Field Guide, Drop Box, Sharefile, or other similar tools)
