Your Role at KIK
We are seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays) (9:00 PM - 5:30 AM) to join our team. Lead Machine Operators must have advanced knowledge of production line equipment such as: Fillers, Labelers, Drop Packers, Case Erectors, Palletizers, Bottle Unscramblers and Case Sealers. As well as possess an advanced understanding of production processes including machine operation, troubleshooting, mechanical adjustments, downtime tracking, quality documentation and effective communication strategies. Lead Machine Operators must be able to motivate their team and be drivers of productivity. Communication is required between various team members and departments, including Maintenance, Warehouse and Management. You must have a “Safety First” attitude, manage time effectively, and maintain a “One Step Ahead” attitude in a fast-paced environment. This position has an hourly rate of $22.00 with a $.50 shift differential in addition to a quarterly 3% Operational bonus! Apply today!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise and coordinate production and packaging operations, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Train, guide and motivate employees while maintaining machinery and overseeing the collaboration with Maintenance and Quality teams.
- Monitor output, inspect products for quality, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records and collaborate to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure safety protocols, address bottlenecks, and maintain a clean work environment.
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing automated filling environment OR 1 or more years as a Lead Operator with relevant process and equipment knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of production line equipment including Fillers, Labelers, Drop Packers, Case Erectors, Palletizers, Bottle Unscramblers, and Case Sealers
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, machine operation, troubleshooting, mechanical adjustments, and downtime tracking
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills and productivity
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with Maintenance, Warehouse, and Management teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a quality-focused and results-driven approach
- Commitment to a “Safety First” attitude, actively managing and promoting safety standards and addressing unsafe conditions immediately
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain a proactive “One Step Ahead” mindset in a fast-paced environment
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 60 lbs
- Comfortable working in a factory environment with varying temperatures, strong fumes, high noise levels, and wearing required PPE
