Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Part-Time
Location: Cheshire, CT
Compensation: $21 - $27/hour
Hours: ~10 hours per week
Schedule: roughly between the hours of 3pm-8pm MTuF, 5pm-8pm W, 4pm-8pm Thurs, or open availability on Sat/Sun
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in Waterbury, CT. This role involves working one-on-one with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans, and supporting skill development under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Essential Functions
Implement individualized ABA treatment plans for children and adolescents in a home setting under the guidance of a BCBA
Support behavior management strategies, ensuring consistency and adherence to treatment plans
Assist in creating client materials to support intervention goals
Provide parent training and collaborate with families to reinforce learning and progress
Maintain accurate data collection and timely documentation of clinical services
Work with clients who have a history of severe aggression (though rarely engage in it) and demonstrate confidence in managing challenging behaviors
Maintain a reliable and consistent schedule with families to ensure effective therapy implementation
Follow BACB ethical guidelines and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Active RBT certification (preferred)
Minimum one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or related fields
Strong time management skills and ability to manage a caseload efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism
Passion for helping children and adolescents reach their full potential
Ability to work independently in-home with minimal supervision

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a client home environment – employees must be comfortable working in various home settings
Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and move comfortably in client homes
