SUMMARY:
Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and providing value-added service to customers through industrial supply sales. Monitors industry trends, identifies emerging markets, and develops a comprehensive plan to capture additional market share. An ambassador of the company and a trusted face to our customers while adhering to company values.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a sales representative in the industrial supply industry
- Must have a clean driving record and vehicle to visit customer sites
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Highly self-motivated and target-driven
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience/customer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Develop and execute a sales plan in the local territory to meet and exceed sales goals
- Sell industrial and maintenance supplies business to business
- Conduct cold calls with manufacturing, maintenance, construction, and other industrial job sites
- Maintain and grow the existing customer base through consultive sales
- Other duties assigned by the regional manager to ensure local branch success
Revenue Qualification:
- New hire or current book of business averaging below $70,000+ in monthly sales, $840,000+ in annual sales.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to efficiently use a personal computer equipped with a standard keyboard and mouse
- Ability to communicate in English to locate, read, and report information
- Lift, lower, and carry product up to 50 lbs. and regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Ability to drive own vehicle daily to customer sites
