The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the Emergency Department at Holton Community Hospital plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring timely and effective treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies. The APRN collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that optimize patient outcomes. Requirements
- A Masters Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have a current and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License in the State of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Must have current NRP, PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications (or be willing to obtain them).
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an emergency department or acute care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a rural or community hospital setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in emergency care.
- Advanced training or coursework in mental health crisis intervention.
