Summary
The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years instructing all skill levels in a luxury club or resort setting. This individual should be self-motivated and have the ability to demonstrate a friendly and hospitable demeanor in a high pressure, fast paced outdoor environment.
Essential Functions
• Facilitate and organize club events for members, conference groups and social guests. Develop and maintain strong relationships with members.
• Plan, organize and execute team league play, championship tournaments and group programs
• Provide individual and group lessons
• Scheduling oversight of professionals alongside Director of Racquet Sports
• Work closely with the racquets professionals to include discipline and counseling
• Attend and co- facilitate departmental meetings
• Ensure Open Play is planned and monitored with the best interest of the members, guests and the business
• Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to security department.
• Attend all mandatory meetings
• Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests
• Ensure overall upkeep of pickleball area. Coordinate any necessary repair or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain inventory of pickleball equipment and supplies.
• Lead communications with Team Captains alongside Director of Racquet Sports
• Attend home team matches as requested by DORS
• Prepare reports on program performance and feedback as requested.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by Director of Racquet Sports
Internal Relationships
Frequent interaction will take place with the recreation teams of tennis, golf, spa, activities, fitness and pool operations.
External Relationships
Guests and members and vendors
Qualifications
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to resort guests and members
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in uncertain conditions.
• Ability to take control in emergency situations.
Education
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.
• Pickleball Certification Required
• Tennis Certification preferred
Grooming / Uniforms
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.
