What we are looking for:
Working as part of the production team in a light manufacturing environment, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator plays a critical role in the logistics and inventory management of our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt of goods, ensuring accuracy and maintaining efficient stock levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, as well as familiarity with warehouse management systems and equipment.
What you will do:
- Maintain an accurate schedule of incoming & outgoing shipments
- Record supplier performance on Supplier Scorecard
- Inspect and record incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy and quality
- Assist with First Article Inspections
- Verify shop tools are properly calibrated; perform forklift safety inspections prior to use
- Pull finished products to fill orders and prepare them for shipping
- Maintain accurate and proactive control of inventory
- Verify the accuracy of all shipping/receiving documentation
- Receive purchase orders, print pallet tags, and work closely with teammates to ensure proper purchase orders are received according to the schedule
- Timely communicate receipt of all products to appropriate leaders and communicates no calls, no shows, and rescheduled shipments
- Collaborate with team to ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
- Act as a resource for the Manufacturing Team for product related questions
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and collaborate with other functions to achieve seamless movement of freight
- Ensure a clean and organized warehouse and working environment through high-maintenance housekeeping standards
- Maintain accurate records and solve freight issues as they arise, document damaged shipments with photos and freight claims
- Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
- Maintain a safe work environment compliant with OSHA standards; assist with internal safety audits
- Participated in company’s safety committee
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma / GED
- 1+ years of experience in shipping
- 1+ years of forklift experience is required
- Experience in a manufacturing, assembly or related environment
- Packaging, shipping, fork truck operation, and dock operations experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to work in a diverse work environment
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety in a manufacturing environment
