SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing supervision and direction to a team of warehouse associates in Goodyear, Arizona.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide first level of supervision to a team of warehouse associates.
- Allocate work, set priorities, schedule deadlines, guide and advise assigned personnel in all phases of work.
- Responsible for training new team members on department processes.
- Assist in the development of team to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for scheduling & coordinating time off requests ensuring the area always has coverage.
- Work with leadership to define department goals that are aligned with company goals and customer needs.
- Establish and maintain documented procedures.
- Work with leadership to monitor and maintain appropriate levels of supplies and product.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements where efficiencies can be made.
- Ensure that orders are correct before being shipped.
- Insure proper space allocation for incoming product. Recommends material holding changes to accommodate needs.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.
What we're looking for:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a warehouse environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills with experience interacting with all levels of employees.
- Proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in results.
- Reliable and able to work extended hours as required.
- Must have the ability to learn technical information quickly.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in MS Office.
