About the Role

 The Regional Consultant Registered Dietitian at CarDon and Associates will play a crucial role in enhancing the nutritional care of residents in skilled nursing facilities across Central Indiana. This position is responsible for developing and implementing individualized dietary plans that meet the unique needs of each resident, ensuring optimal health outcomes. The dietitian will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess nutritional needs and provide education to staff and residents alike. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of dietary interventions, making adjustments as necessary to improve resident satisfaction and health. Ultimately, the Regional Registered Dietitian will contribute to the overall mission of CarDon and Associates by promoting wellness and quality of life through nutrition.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized dietary plans based on residents' health conditions and preferences.
  • Provide education and training to facility staff on nutrition-related topics and best practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of dietary interventions and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in skilled nursing facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and dietary management software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in long-term care.

The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities to assess residents' nutritional needs and develop effective dietary plans. Excellent communication skills are essential for educating staff and residents about nutrition and dietary practices.
