A vacancy has arisen for Assembler 2 – Trimming, 1st Shift

 

Fibrelite Composites designs, manufactures, tests and provides components and products to protect the environment and the consumer.

Physical Work Requirements:

 

  • Standing 8-10 hours
  • Bending
  • Reaching
  • Pushing/pulling
  • Squatting
  • Must be able to work with fiberglass, solvents, resin, paints, oil, etc.
  • Small hand tools usage
  • Lifting 100 lbs./46 KG frequently
  • Work in manufacturing environment, including non-air condition

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Trimming manufactured components using saw and hand held tools trench panels
  • Lifting covers
  • Reading and understanding work instructions incl. drawings.
  • Actively participating in all projects assigned to department.
  • Using of hand held tools and power tools – cutters etc.
  • Using saws
  • Maintaining safe conditions at all the times and ensuring safe work practices are followed at all the times.
  • Tracking material, tool, and inventory needs
  • Participating in 0Dover meetings and other departments’ activities
  • Ensuring good quality of the finished/ trimmed products.
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to Manager immediately.
  • Assisting Manager with all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Notifying management team on any delays and outages.
  • Ensuring that all equipment used in the department is properly maintained and operational at all the times.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management team.
  • Adhering to all required company policies including safety polices at all times, including wearing all required PPE incl. RPE, noise protectors etc.
  • Using lifting equipment.
  • Meeting and maintaining daily production rates and goals as established and required by the company.

 

 

Candidate Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in similar department would be beneficial however training will be provided.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and tools used in the department incl. vacuum lifters, cutters, saws etc. (trainings will be provided)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, working as a part of team.
  • Ability to learn.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE incl. mask.

Required Skills:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to use all required tools and equipment in an assigned work area.
  • Must be able to operate machinery including saw, milling machines,
  • Good level of numeracy skill and comfortable dealing with figures.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
