2nd Shift 3:00PM-11:00pm Monday-Friday

Position Summary:

As a Barcode, Hand, and Bulk Pack Operator, you will be responsible for operating barcode machines, hand packing, bulk packing, and pallet stacking. You will play a key role in the packaging production process, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities and Authority:

• Safety Compliance: Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to company safety guidelines and industry standards.
• Quality Assurance: Follow the Ideal-Tridon Quality Manual, Quality Management System, and other guidelines to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Operational Authority: Stop machine operations if quality, safety, or environmental issues arise and notify appropriate personnel.
• Confidentiality: Maintain and protect all proprietary and confidential company, supplier, and customer information.

Essential Functions:

• Packaging Production: Perform tasks to meet production and quality requirements for packaging.
• Document Management: Understand and complete documentation, including Pallet Stacking Sheets, Daily Labor Sheets, and other necessary paperwork.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Training: Successfully complete HSE training.
• Safe Machine Operation: Identify and remove hazards, maintain equipment, and adhere to PPE requirements. Operate barcode machines, stack cartons on pallets, and complete other miscellaneous tasks.
• Special Equipment: Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
• Barcode Label Verification: Program scale and verify barcode labels.
• Packaging Activities: Assemble, load, and seal cartons. Assist with automated packaging equipment as needed.
• Quality Control: Verify supplies, clamps, and paperwork for accuracy.

Position Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of related factory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform tasks in standing, sitting, or walking positions, using hands and feet in various repetitive motions.
• Frequently lift boxes, parts, or sub-packs weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Utilize hands and arms to assemble sub-packs and large containers, packing over 15,000 clamps per shift.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
