We are seeking a Wastewater Operator for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations, maintenance and repair of a wastewater treatment facility.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm
** This is a 2nd Shift position **
** This position requires a valid Florida Class C Wastewater License at minimum **
Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant systems, including pumps, valves, filters and chemical feed systems
- Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Adjust chemical dosages and process controls based on lab results and operational data
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities and regulatory compliance
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Respond to alarms, equipment malfunctions and emergency situations promptly and effectively
- Ensure proper operation of SCADA systems and other automated controls
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- A valid Class C Wastewater License at minimum
- 1+ year of experience in operating wastewater treatment plants
