Overview:

The Chick-fil-A Tax Department is responsible for tax compliance, technology, special projects, research and audit defense functions for independently-owned franchised restaurants and corporate activities. We exist to provide tax planning, regulatory reporting and consulting to stakeholders, governments, external auditors and business leaders. As we grow in complexity and global footprint, we seek to influence business decisions, reduce tax liability and mitigate risk.

 

This role is a multidisciplinary role within International Tax and the primary responsibility will be to manage our US international tax compliance and planning initiatives. The role will be critical to ensuring compliance with US international tax laws, while also advising on process improvement of the international compliance cycle and risk management. The role will be responsible for US International Tax regulations and forms, OECD guidelines, and indirect tax compliance (e.g. VAT, GST) across various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage International income tax reporting calculations and forms (e.g. Forms 8858, 8975, 8992, 8993), disclosures, elections, and supporting workpapers.
  • Research technical tax issues to ensure compliance with IRS codes, regulations and legislative updates.
  • Manage and maintain detailed tracking of tax attributes of Chick-fil-A’s international subsidiaries such as earnings & profits, tax pools, and foreign tax credit modeling for planning and compliance purposes.
  • Assist with indirect tax compliance and research for Chick-fil-A’s international entities including the preparation of supporting workpapers, partnering with consultants, and advising cross-functional teams.
  • Support Pillar Two readiness and compliance including advising on interpretation of OECD frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Reconcile and track tax payments and refunds and respond to notices from taxing jurisdictions; Prepare audit defense documentation
  • Consult on process improvement and technology/automation regarding invoicing, tax waivers, tax engine implementation, tax reports and accounting.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • 4+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree focused in Tax Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience
