A long-only, multi-billion-dollar, large-cap U.S. equity fund with a strong track record seeks an Associate Analyst to join its team of dedicated investment professionals. The strategy aims to outperform the S&P 500 by investing in companies with sustainable competitive advantages, utilizing rigorous fundamental analysis and maintaining a long-term investment horizon.
Candidates should have a passion for investing, demonstrate intellectual curiosity and diligence, communicate effectively, and be strong team players. Ideal candidates possess strong research skills with a demonstrated ability to investigate investment opportunities across multiple sectors and generate high-conviction investment ideas.
This position involves close collaboration with senior investment professionals, including the portfolio manager, providing exposure to high-level decision-making processes. In addition to working directly with the immediate team, analysts will have opportunities to engage with other equity and investment teams throughout the department, reflecting our strong collaborative culture. Responsibilities
- Proactively participate in the team's disciplined research process and discussions.
- Build deep expertise in and provide coverage of a primary sector and remain flexible to cover additional sectors as needed.
- Generate actionable investment recommendations rooted in rigorous fundamental analysis and long-term investment philosophy.
- Incorporate analysis of economic, market, regulatory, and political events into bottom-up fundamental research.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports on companies held or under consideration for purchase or sale.
- Collaborate effectively on research and technology projects benefiting the broader equity team, investment department, and the firm.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-4 years of buy-side or sell-side research experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
- Prior experience covering the consumer or financial industry preferred.
The base salary range for this position is $90k-130k . Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
