Job Summary
Southern Foodservice Management is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center (ATC) in Mobile, Alabama. ATC plays a vital role in a variety of Coast Guard missions, including search and rescue operations, law enforcement, and advanced pilot training and certification.
The Janitor must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. On every third weekends or holidays, the position transitions to Housekeeper duties with working hours from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Weekend and holiday shifts occur every third weekend and every third holiday, with a typical weekly schedule of 35–40 hours.
Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required. We are seeking a reliable team member who is punctual, professional, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Job purpose
To provide the best possible staying experience at ATC Mobile for each and every Guest. By delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy staying environment for our Guest. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Always recognize each and every Guest. On any given day, job duties may vary due to the needs of the operation as directed by your supervisor.
Job Summary
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Clean building,(Bottoms and Prichard Halls, Gator Lounge, and the Officers Club), by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
- Steam-clean carpets.
- Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
- Mix various cleaning agents.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, water fountains, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
- Apply wax to coat floors and buff (strip floors when needed).
- Apply sealant to floors.
- Clean and service restrooms, showers, and residents’ laundry rooms with mops and disinfectants.
- Move heavy equipment and furniture.
- Identify and report possible repairs.
- Check out and in your assigned keys.
- Follow cleaning charts and complete daily and weekly cleaning.
- Serve as Housekeeper every third weekend and holiday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
