First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Retail Banking Strategic Planning Officer to join the Retail Planning Department. The Retail Planning Strategic Planning Officer will support, implement and maintain the Retail Banking's strategic operational plans including but not limited to the incentive compensation plans within Retail Banking (Branch Team, Personal Banking, Business Banking, etc.) budgeting, finance, data analysis for Branch Business Reviews, and management of key performance reports that support the strategic initiatives of the group. In this role, they will partner with the Branch Banking Division Manager, Sales Manager, and Segment Managers to assist with design, development and implementation of business strategies and initiatives, and performs data analyses to drive insights and inform strategic recommendations. This role will work with cross-functional business partners to support critical change and strategic execution acceleration. 
 

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (hours may vary)
 

Compensation:

The salary range for the AVP level role is $95,000 - $120,000 / annually; commensurate with experience.

The salary range for the VP level role is $110,000 - $135,000 / annually; commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, business management, information technology or related field; or relevant work experience required
• Master's degree in business administration preferred
• AVP:
  • 7+ years of experience in retail banking, including roles in branch management and/or as a Segment Officer (e.g., Personal Banking, Business Banking), or equivalent experience in retail management with a strong track record of driving strategic value and leading high-impact initiatives across large teams or business units required
• VP:
  • 9+ years of experience in retail banking, including roles in branch management and/or as a Segment Officer (e.g., Personal Banking, Business Banking), or equivalent experience in retail management with a strong track record of driving strategic value and leading high-impact initiatives across large teams or business units required
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve business issues in new and creative ways and the ability to clarify key issues in complex scenarios 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to craft strategic thoughts into presentation decks
• Working knowledge of database applications, report writing software, and spreadsheet applications
• Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in developing, delivering, and communicating concise presentation decks
• Ability to handle confidential matters judiciously
• Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
• Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Excellent time management skills
