Hybrid Diamond Turning Technician bei Coherent Corp.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The role involves controlling and verifying the thickness, prepare and set up diamond-turning machines, ensuring proper tool alignment, machine calibration, and configuration for the specific task. Finish quality, and optical figure of all machined parts. Adjust the correct diamond-cutting tools based on material and desired specifications. Perform precision machining of components, such as mirrors or lenses, by controlling the diamond-cutting tool, Inspect parts during and after machining to ensure they meet required specifications, using tools like interferometers and other measuring instruments to verify optical quality and finish.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, with competency in math and algebra skills.

Experience:

• Precision machining , Mechatronics or CNC programming
• 1–2 years of experience in precision machining or CNC operations.
• Machine shop experience, particularly in precision machining, is a plus.
• Familiarity with optical metrology and inspection tools

Skills

• Must have good manual dexterity
• Knowledge of selecting and adjusting diamond-cutting tools for specific tasks and materials.
• Understanding of safety protocols when working with machinery, tools, and materials to maintain a safe work environment.

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite
• Rotating 12hrs Shift
